Logitech International is progressing well in its efforts to relocate production lines from China to counteract the impact of U.S. tariffs, according to CEO Hanneke Faber.
Production Shift Progress
Logitech’s products, including keyboards and mice manufactured in China for the U.S. market, are subject to tariffs up to 30%. The company aims to reduce its China-made products to 10% of U.S. imports by year-end, down from 40%.
Strategic Manufacturing Moves
Production is being shifted to Malaysia, Mexico, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam, with no significant cost increases reported. Logitech has also raised U.S. prices by 10% to offset tariffs.
Business Expansion and Focus
The company is investing in new products and focusing on business customers, with video conferencing equipment sales growing significantly.
Future Outlook
Logitech is building its business-to-business operations, which now account for 40% of its business, focusing on offices, hospitals, and schools.
